Bitters.  Such a small word for a very useful digestive aid. 

A bitters is traditionally an alcoholic preparation flavored with botanical matter so that the end result is characterized by a bitter, sour, or bittersweet flavor. Numerous longstanding 

brands of bitters were originally developed as patent medicines, but now are sold as digestifs, sometimes with herbal properties, and cocktail flavorings. Basic Bitters:  My every day go-to bitters blend.  

  • Dandelion root for general "everything" support.

  • Lady's Thumb for food sensitivities.

  • Yellow Dock root for better iron absorption.

Holiday Bitters:  A tasty blend for the holiday feasting season.

  • Bitter Orange Peel, Fennel seed, Ginger root, and Lady's Thumb for digestion support.

  • Prickly Lettuce for easing stress.

  • Spilanthes for immune support against all those germs.

Simply spray toward the back of the tongue 15 to 30 minutes before eating — or after a meal if feeling overly full or bloated.
