Lip Balm

A great balm for "distressed" skin — my go-to for very dry, cracked skin and
any sort of rash, even eczema.

Calendula infused olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil, propolis, Vitamin E, and beeswax.

Each ingredient is great for healing chapped or sunburned lips, as well as healing cuts and dry skin.
In a pinch, it's even edible!  I wouldn't go that far.  But it is that safe.

Calendula is gathered daily when in bloom to get the freshest flowers for the best results — a terrific base for any skin-related issues.

Raw propolis is sourced from a local beekeeper.  Propolis is a sticky resinous substance bees use around the entrance to their hives. Propolis is among the most powerful antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory substances found in nature.  Researchers are also finding that it also possesses regenerative properties.  Those are just a few of the very good reasons for including propolis in this balm.

Organic, first-pressed extra virgin olive oil is used to infuse nearly all my herbal oils.  It is easy to obtain and good for the skin because of its high amounts of antioxidants and healthy monounsaturated fats, especially oleic acid.

Vitamin E is not a single vitamin, but rather a group of fat-soluble vitamins with antioxidant effects, which make it a great addition to skin products.  Vitamin E oil is also a great moisturizer and helps eliminate scars.

Beeswax, sourced from a local beekeeper, is used to thicken my skin products because it creates a hydrating, long-lasting protective barrier against environmental irritants.  It also helps to repair damage and promote skin regeneration.  And it's 100% natural and organic.
