Herbs Available From My Yard
There are several medicinal plants that are quite valuable and useful to the herbalist but also quite invasive. To avoid spreading invasive non-native plants at the farm where the You Pick Medicinal Herbs Garden is located, I have these growing at my house and available. So far I've been able to manage them. So far.
Bee Balm, Lemon, Monarda citriodora
Chicory, Cichorium intybus
Dianthus, fringed, Dianthus superbus
Fireweed, Chamerion angustifolium
Mugwort, Artemisia vulgaris
Mullein, purple, Verbascum phoeniceum
Mullein, Dense-flowered, Verbascum densiflorum
Poke, Phytolacca americana
Senna, Cassia marilandica
Sweet Annie, Artemisia annua
Sweetgrass, Hierochloe odorata
Wild Ginger, Asarum canadense
There are likely more that I am not recalling on this cold February morning...
I also have lots of native-to-Minnesota plants that I am happy to share as I keep them managed.
