Area Herbal Classes

Updated: Mar 4, 2019

We are fortunate to have many good herbal teachers and events in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

Here are some tips about area classes and events that I have had experience with.

Lise Wolff

I have taken almost all of her class offerings.  Exceptional and always worth the time, travel, and cost.

I was part of Lise's 2010 "3 Seasons Class", which I consider to be the foundation of my herbal education.

If you are looking to immerse yourself in the herbal world, I highly recommend Lise's Three Seasons of Herbal Wisdom class.

Erin Piorier

I have taken many of Erin's classes, also.  I'm never disappointed and very much enjoy her teaching style.

Erin also makes some lovely herbal products available in her Etsy shop, Blue Vervain Botanicals.

Matt Alfs, Midwest School of Herbal Studies

Matt offers fascinating classes with a different bent toward how to use herbs.  I have found his material to be a good balance to the classes I have taken with Lise and Erin.  I appreciate his passion for helping his clients and students.

North Country Herbalist Guild

The Guild meets the first Wednesday of the month in Minneapolis (except January and July).

All are welcome, regardless of experience.  It's a very comfortable place to simply check out the local herbal and alternative health options.

Their site also contains links to many other local herbalists, classes, etc

Very much worth checking out!

Minnesota Herbal Education Festival

3rd Sunday in September

Prairie Oaks Institute, Belle Plaine, MN

This is a wonderful herbal opportunity for beginners and experienced, alike. Classes cover many different topics and skill levels. Always great fun while attending great classes.

ME!

I guess I would consider myself to be a great resource, too.  I offer, at no charge, intro-to-herbal-remedies classes as I feel that anyone who wishes to make their own herbal remedies should be able to learn how to do so, free of charge.

I also enjoy leading Make It/Take It classes, which I refer to as the "Let's Dish" of the herbal world.  I pick up all the ingredients, I teach you how to make the remedies etc. according to your personal preference.  And I clean up the mess afterwards.

Check out my current class offerings here.
