Erin and Ben out at Open Hands Farm are hosting another Winter Store this coming Tuesday.
Great opportunity to get some "fresh" organic veggies in the middle of winter.
Here is a copy of the email they sent out to everyone on their email list this week:
We are deep in the heart of winter, but you still can get tasty local veggies. How exciting!
Come on out to the farm this coming Tuesday (the 14th) between 11 and 4pm.
We will have a selection of roots available for purchase by the pound: Carrots Beets Golden Beets Parsnips Watermelon Radishes Purple Daikon Radishes Celeriac Cabbage maybe Leeks & Brussels sprouts This store is open to anyone (not just CSA members), so tell your friends and feel free to forward this email to anyone you think may be interested.
We may be washing roots for our wholesale markets during the store, so the barn may be a little cramped. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Also if we have Storage Share roots stored for you, you can pick them up then. After this one, the FINAL date for the store is February 11 from 11-4 pm. We may not have as full of a selection at this last store, so stock up now!
If you can't make it on a winter store day, please let us know your order and we can pack it for you to pick up on another day.
